Cross
Detective-psychologist Alex Cross was once a rising star in the Washington, D.C. police force when tragedy struck — his wife was murdered in cold blood in front of him, a brutal act that left his life shattered and his future uncertain.
Years later, Cross has made a major life change: he’s left the FBI (having served there after his police tenure), set up his own practice as a psychologist, and is trying to piece together a quieter, more stable life with his children (Damon, Jannie, and “Little Alex”) and his grandmother, Nana Mama. He’s also cautiously opening up to the idea of love again.
Then his past comes calling. His longtime partner and friend John Sampson asks for Cross’s help tracking a particularly vicious serial rapist operating in Georgetown — a predator whose methods are horrifyingly calculated. As Cross delves deeper into the case, he uncovers shocking connections between the current case and his wife’s murder. What looked like a chance for a new start becomes the most dangerous, personal case of his life — threatening not just his victim-figures but the family he’s been trying so hard to protect.
